ABC auditors verify the size and accuracy of a subscriber file through the Subscription Order Test (SOT). During the SOT, a random sample of subscriber names, whether paid or qualified non-paid, is selected from one issue during the audit period.
Paragraphs (a) through (h) of this rule apply to both Publisher's Statement forms. Paragraph (i) applies to only the Paid and Qualified Non-Paid Circulation Form.
(a) Paid & Verified circulation (except that distributed through newsdealers if less than 25 percent of total distribution) and/or analyzed non-paid circulation shall be broken down by states or provinces based on an issue within a 12-month period.
(a) Paid circulation (except that distributed through newsdealers if less than 25 percent of total) may be broken down by states or provinces for one or more issues published within each 6-month Publisher's Statement period.
Effective with June 2005 Publisher’s Statements, ABC’s board moved to modify Rule E 5.4, Distribution by Demographics, to define reporting parameters and formats for all single-issue analyses included in ABC farm publication Publisher’s Statements.
